Codima (News - Alert), a company that provides best practice software tools like voice management to help organizations manage their IT networks, announced the launch of a new recovery service for its existing telecom and networking clients.
Thanks to this new service, the new and existing clients of the company can sell their working and non-working electronic equipment -- identified as obsolete or surplus -- directly to Codima’s recycling division, Codima Green.
Company officials said that this provides a safe and eco-friendly disposal route to the customer and eliminates the usual disposal options which frequently end up in land-fill sites.
With the company’s “Codima Toolbox” product line, users are able to audit and map all of the equipment on their corporate networks. Company officials said that this provides data on the age and capacity of each item of equipment. This capability helps users to identify end of life or malfunctioning equipment.
The company is expected to market its new service via its established reseller network, and initially, it’ll be available to Codima customers in the United States. The company plans to make it available to other geographies over the next few months.
